2015 Tussahaw STEM Twilight Camp

“The Science of Flight!”

 

Lab Modules
Gravity’s Pull: Design and Build Egg Cradles: Can your egg survive “The Fall” (learn about gravity’s role in flight)
3-2-1 Launch: Catapults and science behind how they work and how to build and fire for accuracy
Mission Control: Rockets and the science of propulsion
From here to there, with style!: design and build paper airplanes using different designs that make the planes do different things
Friday is Test Flight Friday…take what you learned during the week and see how your invention holds up against the rules of flight

Attend with your Pack or Den or as an Individual Scout. 

Note:  New Scouts entering 1st grade in the fall of 2015 must attend with an adult partner.

Cost: $100.00, includes one t-shirt and patch

 

Location: Wesley Way United Methodist Church (150 John Wesley Way, McDonough, GA 30252)

Sample Schedule (final schedule will be sent out)

Monday- Friday 5:00pm- 8:30pm

 

If your Scout sells 100 camp cards, they can attend Day Camp (includes 1 patch and 1 t-shirt) with a fully paid scholarship!  A link will be forwarded to you in May to register for this scholarship and you must complete the registration to receive your scholarship. 

Remember that only 36 cards sold completely pays for Day Camp!  Note that your Pack has all of your camp card funds.  If you are not eligible for the 100 Cards Sold Scholarship, please contact your Pack concerning payment of your balance due for Day Camp. 

 

Parents, Leaders, Grandparents, etc- Day Camp Needs You!

Day Camp cannot operate without volunteers.  We would love your help and you are able to sign up to volunteer when registering your Scout.

Early Discount

Cancellation Policy
To receive a full refund cancellation must be made 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. No refund will be given after this date.
