For Upcoming Webelos I & Webelos II Scouts

Experience outdoor adventure at the Flint River Adventure Area on the Lawhorn Scouting Base.

Webelos - Come experience a taste of the excitement and adventure that awaits when you become a Boy Scout.

Scouts will pitch their tents in the primitive area and work on some Leave No Trace principals, outdoor skills, and hiking, as well as work on their Outdoorsman and Handyman activity badges.

They will also be able to shoot pellet rifles!

The weekend begins on Friday night with an opening campfire and runs through Sunday morning, culminating with a hike and vespers service.

Per the Guide to Safe Scouting:

A Webelos Scout may participate in overnight den camping when supervised by an adult.  In most cases, the Webelos Scout will be under the supervision of his parent or guardian.  It is essential that each Webelos Scout be under the supervision of a parent-approved adult. 

In special circumstances, a Webelos Scout whose parent or legal guardian is not able to attend an overnight camping trip may participate under the supervision of another registered adult member of the BSA who is a parent of a Webelos also attending.  The unit leader and a parent or legal guardian must agree to the arrangement, and all Youth Protection policies apply.  At no time may another adult accept responsibility for more than one additional "non-family member" youth.

Please make sure you are following these guidelines when you register for Webelos-Ree.

Arrival:         Friday between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm
                     or Saturday between 7:30 am and 9:00 am

Departure:   Sunday by 11:00 am

Schedule:     Movie Friday night in dining hall at 8:00 pm
                        Most activities begin Saturday at 9:00 am
