On September 5-7, 2014, the Coweta District will be hosting a first-time "three-in-one" outdoor leadership training weekend. All three Boy Scouts of America outdoor leadership programs will be taught during the same weekend in the same location. BALOO training will begin for Cub Scout leaders at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014, and will run until 9:00 p.m. Saturday with optional additional training available through noon on Sunday, September 7. OLS training for Webelos leaders will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, and will run until noon on Sunday, September 7. Finally, IOLS training will begin for Boy Scouts leaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, and will run through noon on Sunday, September 7.
This unique approach to presenting all three outdoor leadership programs on one weekend will provide opportunities for scouting leaders of all experience levels to come together and share and learn together. All three training tracks will primarily be separate, but there will be some training and fellowship overlap throughout the weekend. Webelos leaders are encouraged to come on Friday night for additional skills programming available to them. Similarly, Cub Scout leaders are encouraged to spend Friday and Saturday nights and receive additional training.
Scouters will sleep in the platform tents in the Flint River Adventure area and will help prepare three meals on Saturday and Sunday's breakfast.
